Documented my solo trip to Puerto Galera— first time kong gawin ito at sobrang saya ko! So blessed to have a supportive husband who encouraged me to really do this and assured me that he and the kids will be alright. Pinabaunan pa ako ng tripod so I can take good photos and videos with my phone kahit wala akong ksama.

I chose Puerto Galera dahil ito ang nearest na tawid-dagat na alam ko, gusto ko kasi sumakay ng boat. I love the view of the ocean and small islands so yes, ferry ride palang, masayang masaya na ako.

Coming across Verde View Villas in Agoda was a huge blessing. Honestly, tamad ako magsulat ng reviews and recommendations but my experience with this resort was top notch, beyond what I expected kahit marami na akong nabasang positive reviews about them before I booked. Unlike most of the resorts in Puerto Galera na busy and crowded, the place is very laid back, serene, and has the most breath-taking views of the mountains, the ocean and the sky (sunrise & sunset)… grabe yung kilig ko! Affordable din yung rates nila when I booked— sobrang sulit dahil my free shuttle going back and forth sa port and going around Sabang town (Php400 per ride pag nagtricyle).

Meron silang private beach with an isolated island vibe, unlike public beaches in PG that are crowded and surrounded by houses and businesses. They also lent me snorkeling gears for free, so I didn’t have to go somewhere else for a sea adventure… the best yung snorkeling experience ko, saw beautiful corals and colorful fishes.. sobrang nakakahappy ng . Their pool is super clean and warm, the best magnight swimming while star gazing, grabe!! My room had a king size bed, a couch, its own veranda… sobrang ganda ng view, kitang kita ang sunrise kahit nakahiga lang ako.

Their food are fresh and affordable, bawal kumain sa loob ng room but I can eat at the veranda. Nung mdami akong hindi naubos, they offered to refrigirate and reheat kapag kakainin ko na ulit. Sobrang bait ng mga staff — hindi transactional, but almost like a family… sobrang warm at gaan kausap ng mga tao. I even had a couple of chitchats with the owner (na akala ko guest din at first), he showed me their family room, told me how the resort was built and the upcoming developments, and suggested activities to maximize and enjoy my stay.

They also suggested na magvideoke ako which I have not done for a long time.. and saya magconcert sa tuktok ng burol (used their KTV room for free!). They are also eco-friendly, they run with solar power. Before I checked in, nagrereachout sila to make sure smooth ang travel ko going to PG and after my stay, they also checked kung nakauwi ako safely . I’m not an influencer pero I wish I can help promote this place more. Kung magvisit kyo sa Galera, sa Verde View kayo magstay… it has the perfect combination of serenity and adventure without breaking your wallet. Can’t wait to bring my family there.

So ayun na nga, hindi ko alam kung kelan ulit mauulit ito pero okay na okay na ako sa experience na ito. Definitely for keeps . I hated myself and felt guilty for being grumpy all the time, parang di ko na minsan kilala sarili ko… Taking a break to find the better version of YOURSELF again could be what you need (yes, nanjan pa sya momsh!), and your family deserves the best version of you too. I wish all moms can experience the happiness I experienced kasi sobrang deserve natin ito!
